Michael Angerhauser has more than 30 years of combined advisory, accounting, tax, law enforcement, internal investigations, and compliance monitoring expertise. Michael’s experience including business advisory services; accounting and tax services, financial fraud investigations services; forensic accounting; anti-bribery and corruption due diligence and investigation services; fraud risk assessments and anti-fraud program development; litigation support services and; Bank Secrecy/ Anti-money Laundering compliance, investigation and review services. Additionally, Michael is a retired Lieutenant from the New York City Police Department with extensive experience managing and conducted criminal and internal investigations. As a certified public accountant and former lieutenant of the New York City Police Department, Michael brings a wealth of accounting, law enforcement, and internal investigations expertise.

Michael is a Certified Public Accountant (Licensed in New York and North Carolina), Certified in Financial Forensic by the AICPA, Private Investigator (Licensed in North Carolina) a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist and a Certified Construction Auditor

Before joining MACPA, Michael was a Senior Director at Navigant Consulting, Inc., a Director at Daylight Forensic & Advisory LLC and a Manager in a KPMG LLP’s Forensic Practice.
